Sophistication Without Compromising On Comfort

Magnificent formal reception rooms include the Great Hall, the Saloon, the world-famous Monkey Room and the Drawing Room. We have fourteen double-occupancy bedrooms, the majority with an en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms have been recently redecorated with a distinctive and individual style.

A stately home, but also a family home

A cozy bed with a floral headboard, two dark green pillows, and a white blanket in a pink-walled room with a table lamp and framed artwork.

Kirtlington Park has been sensitively refurbished in sophisticated style, with luxury and entertaining in mind.

Make our home, your home

Elegant living room with ornate crown molding, a large historic-style painting on the wall, and a pale blue sofa with decorative pillows, flanked by two table lamps.

When the current owner’s uncle bought Kirtlington Park in 1970, the house had stood silent and shuttered for several years.

This beautiful home was devoid of furniture, of pictures, of joyful life. He drove down the drive, stopped his car and got out to sit on the bonnet. Gazing at the house in front of him, he always said he “fell in love” there and then. He saw it on a Tuesday and bought it on the Friday. He then lived there for the rest of his life.

View of a green field through a window, with trees in autumn colors, a fence, and a distant horizon under a partly cloudy sky.

The Grounds

Guests can enjoy wild-flower meadows, enchanting woodland areas or walks round the Capability Brown parkland and lake.

Our gardens boast lawns for croquet, badminton, pétanque and a hardsurface tennis court.

A fireplace with burning logs and flames, surrounded by blackened brick and ash.

The Reception Rooms

Perfectly proportioned, interlinking Reception Rooms allow for events that naturally spill into different spaces, with the Hall lending itself perfectly to drinks receptions, the Saloon to formal seated dinners and the Drawing Room and Monkey Room to more intimate fireside moments.

A luxurious bedroom with a Victorian-style four-poster bed, floral patterned curtains, a green armchair, a wooden dresser, and windows allowing natural light.

The Bedrooms

On the top floors are 14 stylish and wonderfully comfortable double-occupancy bedrooms, the majority with ensuite bathrooms. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully redecorated in a style sympathetic to the house’s history and with individuality and stunning details.
